A new investment account for children has been introduced by the U.S. Treasury. The program, called Trump Accounts, began on July 4 and offers a $1,000 initial deposit for eligible children to start investing.

The accounts are tax-advantaged and available to children under the age of 18. American children born between 2025 and 2028 are eligible to receive the $1,000 federal deposit.

Further details on the program, including how to get started, can be found at trumpaccounts.gov, as the information available is limited.
