From Athens, Ga.: A man was allegedly catfished into getting engaged by someone using artificial intelligence and voice-changing technology. The suspect, 25-year-old Caleb Mills, is accused of creating a fake identity using stolen photos of a real sheriff's deputy. Mills allegedly used this persona to establish online relationships and defraud victims.

One victim became convinced the relationship was real and believed he was engaged, exchanging vehicles with Mills and giving him money. The victim had never met the person he thought he was engaged to, as the woman did not exist.

Further details of the case are available, including the methods used by the suspect to deceive his victims.
